New: Analyze Screenshots From Tinder, Hinge, Bumble, and Any Other App

Chakam now reads screenshots from Tinder, Hinge, Bumble, and effectively any messaging app — not just WhatsApp. Here's how the import actually works.

Chakam can now analyze chat screenshots from Tinder, Hinge, Bumble, Instagram, Snapchat, Messenger, and iMessage, alongside its original WhatsApp support — plus a general 'Other' option that reads screenshots from essentially any messaging app the same way. No export file is needed; a screenshot is enough.

Chakam started as a WhatsApp-specific tool, reading an exported chat file directly. That’s still there, but most dating actually happens somewhere else first — Tinder, Hinge, Bumble, Instagram DMs — and increasingly none of those platforms make exporting a full conversation easy or even possible. Screenshots are what people actually have. Chakam now reads those directly.

What’s Supported

Chakam’s import screen now offers dedicated options for WhatsApp, Instagram, Snapchat, Messenger, iMessage, Tinder, Hinge, and Bumble, each with its own themed interface so the import flow matches what you’re actually looking at. On top of those, an Other option handles screenshots from any messaging app not specifically listed — the same underlying reading pipeline, without needing a dedicated platform preset.

How It Actually Works

No file export, no copying and pasting — just the screenshots themselves. Chakam reads the text directly out of the images on your device, reconstructs who said what in what order, and builds the same kind of analysis it’s always produced from a WhatsApp export: tone, patterns, response behavior, the works. A few screenshots covering a conversation, or a long scroll-captured thread, both work the same way.

Try it with screenshots from any app you're actually using.

Why This Matters More for Dating Apps Specifically

A WhatsApp conversation with a long-term partner is one thing to export — the app makes it straightforward. An early conversation on Tinder or Hinge, before it’s moved anywhere else, usually isn’t exportable at all; screenshots are the only record most people actually have. That gap is exactly what this closes: the same structured breakdown that’s been available for WhatsApp for months now works for the earliest, least-defined stage of talking to someone, which is often where the most useful patterns show up — how fast they reply before you’ve met, how one-sided the opening messages are, whether the energy is actually matched.

Tinder, Hinge, Bumble, and anything else, read the same way.

Still Entirely On-Device

Reading text out of a screenshot happens on your device, the same as every other part of Chakam’s analysis — nothing is uploaded anywhere just to extract the conversation. The screenshots themselves are used only for that one read and aren’t kept or sent anywhere afterward.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does it work with scroll-captured screenshots that span a long conversation?

Yes — a single long scrolling screenshot works the same as several normal ones. The reading step just needs the text to be legible; how the screenshot was taken doesn’t matter.

What if the app I’m using isn’t in the list?

Use the Other option. It runs the same underlying screenshot reading as every named platform — the dedicated options just add platform-specific theming and are there for convenience, not because the underlying capability is different.

Does this replace the WhatsApp export feature?

No, both exist side by side. A full WhatsApp export is still the most complete option when you have it, since it captures the entire history in one file. Screenshots are the option for everything else — platforms with no export, or a conversation you only have partial screenshots of. How to analyze WhatsApp messages with ChatGPT covers the export-based approach in more depth, including where a general AI tool like that falls short compared to a dedicated one.
